Sjava Gives An Update On The Lady Zamar Rape Case!

Sjava Gives An Update On The Lady Zamar Rape Case! On 3 march 2020 Sjava issued a statement of his side of the accusations leveled against him by Lady that he raped her in 2017. In the statement Sjava refuted the accusation that he raped Lady Zamar.

Closing the statement he shared his disgruntlement over SAPS for sharing information with Sunday Sun on the case and promised to take necessary measures.

Sjava has issued a follow up on the issue and this time its two letters that he through his lawyers sent to SAPS on the 5th and 6th March soliciting a sit down meeting with SAPS and Lady Zamar. However SAPS hasn’t responded to those letters yet.

In both the letters dated 5 and 6 March 2020 the Ikhandlela rapper highlights that he requests a meeting so as to get clarity on why Spokesperson of SAPS Limpopo Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo had shared information on the case with the media without his or hes lawyers’ knowledge or consent. In the letter he states that the information leaked by SAPS has caused embarrassment as it has concluded the case that has not been further investigated.

“5 the conduct of the SAPS in leaking documents and or contents of the case to the media and discussing the case with the media is prejudicial to our client. The ineluctable conclusion to be drawn in that this conduct will persist and further prejudice our client.

“6 we are instructed torequest an urgent meeting with SAPS, to clarify on the basis of their conduct which has subjected our client to trial by public opinion even before a decision has been made on the further conduct of the case.

7 in order to ensure transparency and to the extent that this conduct also prejudices Ms Banda we request that the invitation be extended and or her legal team.” reads the first letter.
