Tony Forbes Reacts To The Reported Breakthrough In AKA’s Murder Case. AKA and Tibz murder case has been topping the headlines for the past few days. This came after the reports that the police arrested five suspects in connection with the killing of AKA and his friend in Durban last month.
AKA‘s father Tony Forbes has broken his silence following the reports that the police apprehended the suspects. Tony told News24 that he learned of the news while travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. He called the police who were looking into AKA’s case, and they responded. The slain rapper’s father did not disclose the intel in regard to his conversation with the police.
“We would like to see justice being served and the perpetrators brought to book. He’s gone. Someone killed him. Right now, we are grieving. We are keeping an eye on developments in the news and hoping that something positive will happen,” Tony Forbes said as per News24.
Nevertheless, the police in KZN, where the event occurred on that fatal night, stated that they had received no fresh developments in the Kiernan Forbes and Tibz murder investigation. “We have not received any update on the AKA case,” said KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda.
Following the arrest of the suspected killers, their images which were published by IOL found their way to social media and most people were not pleased with what they saw. An issue of body type was raised by most Twitter investigators arguing that none of the suspects match the body type of the people they saw on the CCTV footage outside the Wish restaurant.
