AKA‘s posthumous album consists of 14 songs and the project has been dubbed a no-skip body of work by most of the SA hip-hop fanatics. Even though Mass Country has received all the praise, the famed Music Video Director Ofentse Mwase revealed that there is one song that he avoids listening to.

Taking to Twitter, Ofentse Mwase said that he skips the first song on the album which is “Last Time.” Mwase said that the song hurts him so much hence that’s why he avoids listening to it. “When I play Mass Country the only song I skip is the first one, it just hurts too much!” He tweeted.

Despite skipping the track, the famed Music Director also acknowledged that Last Time is a good song. This came after one of his followers gave props to AKA’s work. “Last Time is an amazing song…” Read the tweet. In response Mwase said; “Itโ€™s brilliant.”

The song Last Time is quite symbolic, but AKA stated that it was him reflecting on the time he first appeared in the music industry and how heย progressed as an artist. “It’s a lot of shout-outs, just talking about how I remember when I came into the music industry it was a whole different landscape. From there, I just want to get into… I just want to talk my sh*t.” He said as per Apple Music.

Mass Country was created and finished prior to AKA’s untimely death. The body of work boasts a combination of indigenous sounds and highlights from South Africa’s brightest hip-hop talent.
