Raphael Benza Reveals His All-Time Favourite Song From AKA’s Altar Ego Album. AKA made his mark in the game with a body of work Altar Ego, the slain rapper delivered a project with classics such as Victory Lap, Bang, and I Want It All to mention but a few.

Altar Ego housed 18 tracks and a slew of them boast an immense replay value. Taking to Twitter, Raphael Benza who witnessed the rise of AKA revealed his all-time favourite track from the rapper’s debut album Altar Ego. Benza said the track titled Mistakes is his favourite track even though they fail to master and mix it properly.

“Altar Ego..!! Were you there??? Mistakes is my all time favourite… We fail on mixing & mastering it perfectly…. But the feeling still came thru #RIPAKA #RIPTIBZ. #Altarego….” Tweeted Benza. Despite the mishaps that Benza believes were on his favourite track, the project served its purpose. It made history by winning Best Street Urban at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) as the first rap album featuring English lyrics.

With all its achievements, AKA still didn’t believe that Altar Ego was a good project. The late rapper dubbed it as a weak album but also credited himself for expressing how hungry he was for success. “Hmmm dunno how I feel about this one. Personally …. I think it’s weak. I hate how my voice & my character sounds. Still some SOLID cuts on this Jawn tho.  … also I made this album when I didn’t have any real bread that’s why I’m spitting so hard on Victory Lap for example … my tone is so aggressive throughout this project, you can hear I don’t have money  yet … and not having money is AF.” He wrote.
