This year A-Reece joined forces with Yolophonik as they delivered a surprise project ‘The Burning Tree: Remix Deluxe.’ Even though the project has received a massive reception within the Slimes fanbase, A-Reece doesn’t believe he has the biggest song in SA Hip hop right now.
Taking to Instagram, the award-winning rapper stated celebrated Loatinover Pounds’s Sosh Plata Remix (feat. 25K & Thapelo Ghutra) after it garnered 1 Million Youtube views 1 month after its release. “Biggest SA hip hop song,” wrote A-Reece. As if that is not enough, the track has reached the 1 Million mark on Apple Music and Spotify.
There is no doubt that Pretoria has been holding it down for SA hip hop and A-Reece has been at the forefront of rooting for the rappers in his hometown. Reece previously expressed how proud he is for the rappers who have been representing the rap culture. “just wanna say I’m proud of how far my city has come and what it’s doing for the culture. shout out to everyone from PRETORIA doing their thing right now. Following big wins at the SA Hip Hop Awards for Pretoria-based rappers last year, it is meant to be seen whether the biggest awards will head towards Mzansi’s capital city yet again.
