Slimes Critic Wordz After Claiming Album Of The Year On The Day A-Reece Drops P2
Slimes Critic Wordz After Claiming Album Of The Year On The Day A-Reece Drops P2. In a riveting turn of events in the SA Hip Hop scene, Wordz has left most fans spellbound after he declared his album “People Forget To Be People” as the Album of the Year.
Wordz’s declaration coincided conveniently, or perhaps the timing was somewhat deliberate, given that the conversation was centred around the imminent release of A-Reece’s album. Taking to Twitter (X), the Pretoria-based rapper shared a link to his album streaming platforms with a caption; “ALBUM OF THE YEAR OUT NOW!”
Wordz’s statement has received a less than favourable reception from a significant portion of A-Reece‘s fan base. Many have expressed their discontent and criticized him for asserting his album as Album of the Year on the very day The Boy dropped his long-awaited P2: THE BIG HEARTED BAD GUY.
Taking from A-Reece and Wordz’s past relationship starting from the days of the TWC, the two have not been engaging with each other as of late. There have been speculations that Reece and Wordz might have fallen out as they are no longer seen with each other as they used to.
Derived from the lyrics of the song “Put Me On” featuring Thato Saul, A-Reece subtly alluded to a rift with certain members of The Wrecking Crew, including Wordz. “I wrote my way out of the hood with these lyrics Couple snake n*g*gs tried to photobomb the bigger picture Just know, they cropped out if you don’t see them n*g*gs with us, uh,” raps A-Reece.
