The rap culture has been further enriched by exceptional producers, who boast a plethora of hit songs in their repertoire. Among these talented individuals is Producer Ruff, whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the genre.

Taking to Twitter (X), SA Hip hop fans engaged in a conversation on the number of hit songs Tweezy produced with Zaddy Swag including Emtee’s “Pearl Thusi” on the list. The addition of Pearl Thusi to the list of songs produced by Zaddy Swag prompted fans to clarify that it was actually Ruff who produced the song, not Tweezy. “Ruff produced Pearl Thusi musa nje ukuqamba amanga. Ameni was produced by Tweezy, Ruff, Lunatik & Bizda,” read the post.

In his defence, Zaddy Swag argued that Tweezy’s role as the co-producer of the song warrants acknowledgement as the producer of the song. However, Ruff, the producer of the song “Pearl Thusi,” disagreed with Zaddy’s defence, laughing off the rapper’s remarks and stating that he was lying. “Amanga maan. Why unamanga?this is really funny,” Ruff said.

The hit song garnered remarkable success upon its release, debuting impressively at number 7 on the SA Top 100 chart. It soared to the top spot, holding the number 1 position for three consecutive weeks. As a result, it has solidified its place as one of the most celebrated songs in SA Hip Hop.
