Emtee Reveals He Has Nearly 40 Songs To Select From For His Next Album. Emtee‘s fans and the South African Hip Hop community must continue to exercise patience as they eagerly anticipate the release of the DIY3 album.
The rapper has been diligently setting up all the necessary components to ensure he delivers his best body of work. This commitment led him to express his belief that South African Hip Hop is far from dead. During a recent interview on Podcast And Chill, the famed rapper said that SA Hip Hop is not dead as long as he’s alive.
“I’m saying I got close to 40 songs to choose from to make this album, we’re not sleeping, we’re working that’s why I said it’s (Hip Hop) not dead as long as I’m alive,” he said. Emtee also takes pride in his live performances stating that he got shows every week with fans still singing along to most of his old but classic songs. “I perform every weekend and I’ve been performing Roll Up since the day it was released to this day,” Emtee added.
Prior to the release of his single “Good Time,” Emtee had been relatively quiet in terms of solo releases, as he had been primarily focused on collaborating with fellow artists, lending his remarkable hooks to numerous tracks.
