Melinda Ferguson Clarifies Moses Tembe’s Role In AKA & Anele’s Book “When Love Kills”
Melinda Ferguson Clarifies Moses Tembe’s Role In AKA & Anele’s Book “When Love Kills.” The release of the book “When Love Kills,” detailing the love story of AKA and Anele Tembe, sparked significant controversy among both AKA fans and the Forbes family.
The Forbes Family publicly declared their disassociation from any contribution to the creation of the book or benefiting from the proceeds from its sales. They characterized the author Melinda’s actions as opportunistic and distasteful.
While AKA‘s family maintained their distance from the book’s creation, the same cannot be said for the Tembe family. It appeared that Moses Tembe shared the life of his daughter Anele Tembe with the author of “When Love Kills.”
In an Instagram post, Melinda Ferguson disclosed that Moses Tembe did not provide financial support for the book’s writing or commission its creation. Instead, Moses voluntarily shared information about his daughter. “Over the past fortnight, there has been much confusion around the participation of Moses Tembe, Anele Tembe’s father, in my book, When Love Kills.
“Moses sat down with me after I approached him to discuss the untimeous loss of his daughter and his deep grief. It is absolutely true, as his spokesperson stated, that he did not commission the book, or make any form of financial contribution, or compensate the project in any way. Moses voluntarily agreed to talk to me about the life of his beloved daughter, Anele.”
During an interview on Podcast And Chill, Melinda Ferguson mentioned that “When Love Kills” is just a prequel. She revealed her plans to publish a sequel in the future. “I think, my book will reflect in accuracy, will it stand the test of time? I think there will be other things that will happen. This will be a story where there’s still revelation like I couldn’t do the court case, I couldn’t do the inquest, but I’m thinking of another book,” she said.
