Taking to Instagram, Toya Delazy expressed her utmost gratitude to the foundation for funding her music projects. The famed artist made it clear that being an indie artist has been a daunting task for her and the PSR Funding will come in handy for her in advancing her musical creativity.
“I am having a momentous day! gassed to announce I am the recipient of the ppl momentum fund by @prsformusic #PPLMomentum. Thank you so much to PRS for the support, I have never had a successful application and really taught me patience after many applications 😭❤️ Thank you to my team @christianjmcguire WE DID IT!!!!!!”
“WE cannot wait to show you all the creativity we have in store which has been limited by being a indie artist and not having any support, it really feels great to not be hyper independent, we will use this fund for art and sharing the wave of Afrorave. I have seen this funding change some lives, I am incredibly grateful for the trust and mark of integrity from the industry, watch the horizon. Afrorave is here,” Toya wrote.
A champion for aspiring musicians, the PSR Foundation has been a driving force behind artistic development since its inception in 2000. For over two decades, they’ve cultivated a vibrant artistic community by providing impactful grants. Their commitment is evident in the staggering amount of funding they’ve distributed: over £44 million has been awarded to more than 8,500 new music initiatives. This translates to supporting countless artists and fostering a rich tapestry of new music.
