How Black Coffee Showed AKA Support On The Launch Of His Club ‘Cuba Lounge BLK’

How Black Coffee Showed AKA Support On The Launch Of His Club ‘Cuba Lounge BLK’. There was a time where everyone swore that Black Coffee and AKA would never get along let alone be in the same venue at once. That was after the DJ slapped the rapper’s manager after an altercation.

We have witnessed Mega get entangled on a number of beefs in the industry, the good part is that he often shows his will to call things truce. With the likes of Shane Eagle, Sizwe Dhlomo and now Black Coffee, Bhova has made amends to a point where they even support his work.

Back in 2019 Black Coffee held his annual Music Is King event and shocked everyone for inviting AKA over, considering the past of subtweeting, disses and hot klaps. When asked by TshisaLIVE on what motivated his decision to get over the beef and bring the Jika star closer he said his priority was music.

“It is not about who sells the most or who is cooler, it is about music. We are trying to create a melting pot of different kinds of music. Whether the artist is big or small, as long as we feel they will bring something to the line-up.”

“AKA is one of the most amazing live artists on this continent, so why not.”

On the other hand AKA expressed that when he was beefing with Black Coffee he was still ‘immature’.

“With me and Black Coffee there has always been like this … I don’t know what you want to call it … I think it is growth. I am a different person now than I was then. Back in the days,” said AKA.

The world renowned DJ attended the launch party of the opening of Mega’s new Durban based club Cuba Lounge BLK.
