Even after the release of Mass Country, his posthumous album, AKA left behind unreleased music, including a much-anticipated collaboration with K.O. Takaing to X, one South African hip-hop fan expressed a wish for an animated music video for the K.O and AKA song. “I know it’s nunna my opinion bro but for that track you did featured @akaworldwide I think it’ll be a great idea to do smthn like a 3D/cartoon video just to honour Supa Mega ….MHDSRIP,” read the post.

In response, K.O stated that he is committed to creating exceptional visuals for his collaboration with AKA. He emphasized that he is dedicated to paying homage to his late friend and fellow rapper, ensuring that the final product reflects the respect and admiration he has for AKA’s legacy.

“Still figuring ways to make sure the visual pays proper homage to my dawg. Surreal every time I hear his vocals on the joint, unreal he ain’t here. Album soon come,” K.O said.

The Megacy fanbase is not the only group feeling the void left by AKA‘s absence in South African hip-hop culture; fellow artists, including K.O, have also acknowledged that The Supa Mega left a significant gap in the industry.

“That gentleman was so polarizing, that like even when he doesn’t have a hard record going you can still feel his presence,” K.O said. “Whether it’s his antics on social media or just his private life and all those things that he was doing. So even beyond that for me as a man and as an artist, I’m not gonna lie to you I’ve pulled a lot from him just from a competitive standpoint, so whereas like, he did that, I’m gonna try to do that.” K.O said.
