Scumie Releases High-Energy “Canned Milk” Music Video. Scumie has officially released the music video for “Canned Milk,” giving fans a fresh visual companion to TRACK2.
The Johannesburg-born rapper, singer and producer, whose real name is Zamazitha Mnqandi, announced the release in her typically direct style, telling fans: “TRACK2 – CANNED MILK MV. Out now.”
The new visual arrives as Scumie continues to build on the momentum of her 066 series, a body of work that has helped establish her as one of the country’s more distinctive independent voices. Her 2025 project, 066, Vol. 3, further showcased her sharp lyricism, atmospheric sound and willingness to blur the lines between alternative hip-hop, punk and emo-rap.
“Canned Milk” adds another layer to that growing catalogue, carrying the rawness and experimental spirit that have become central to Scumie’s sound.
Although the rapper has kept details surrounding the video’s concept relatively under wraps, the release follows a visual style that fans have come to associate with her work. Previous videos, including the VHS-inspired “Shots” and visuals for “Prayer 2 Myself” and “Burberry,” have leaned into energetic performances and DIY-inspired aesthetics.
That creative approach has helped Scumie carve out an identity that feels distinctly her own, both sonically and visually.
Her journey in music has also been rooted in independence. Scumie began producing music at just 14 before turning to rapping during the lockdown period. From building an audience through SoundCloud releases, she went on to collaborate with artists such as Nadia Nakai, Yungboyvegeta and Lowfeye, while earning opportunities to perform on major platforms including Cotton Fest.
Beyond the music, Scumie has consistently championed authenticity and self-belief, particularly encouraging female artists to create on their own terms and pursue their ambitions without waiting for industry approval.
