Kwesta Says ‘Power To The People’ With First Single Release Of 2021. Award winning rapper Kwesta has always managed to grab the listeners attention with his relatable lyrics and unique tone. The platinum selling artist is certainly sending a powerful message with his new release.
Kwesta took to twitter to announce the release of his first single of 2021 Fire in the Ghetto. The single features trouble and was produced by Gobi Beast who has worked with the likes of TLT and Aubrey Qwana.
Kwesta’s tweet read, “Good morning.. New Music #FireInTheGhetto ft trouble produced by Gobi Beast OUT NOW!!“
Kwesta has a powerful message in the track. He sends a message of power to the people and also empowers his family and all the listeners.
The lyrics read, “Empower my people, my father, my leader, my mother, my teacher, my brother, my keeper. My sister, my healer, my sarafina. Baba wami, leader, empower my dreamers.”
This is Kwesta’s first single release for 2021 but hasn’t made mention of plans to release an album.
Between the release of his new single Fire in The Ghetto and DaKar II the rapper had been releasing singles and appearing as guest features on other artists’ music.
Kwesta’s last album release DaKar II was released in 2016 recently celebrated 5 years of it’s release. The album shaped SA Hip-Hop and was went 13 times platinum.
]The album included hits that also went platinum including Ngud‘ featuring Cassper Nyovest which sold 58 times platinum, and Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe featuring Thabsie which sold 119 times platinum.
The Day One hit maker is one of the most influential rappers in South Africa today. It is only telling what Kwesta can come up with next for his next album release.
