Fans Weigh In On Whose The Better Rapper Between Stogie T and ProVerb. A Twitter poll asked fans to choose their pick between OG rappers Stogie T and ProVerb. Both rappers have an extensive catalogue and have earned their places in the history books of SA hip hop. Rappers are always being compared to each other, as fans, debate who is the better rapper.
ProVerb came out on top when it came to poll results, receiving a toll of 60.7% of votes whilst Stogie T received 39.3% The decision was a tough one, for fans to make, as some are fans of both rappers and ProVerb and Stogie T are both equally talented.
ProVerb hasn’t released music in a minute, the rapper is using his talents in the TV space as a presenter, he is currently hosting the long-running competition show, Idols South Africa and a new property show on the Home Channel called The Property Game. The rapper is well known for his debut album, The Book Of ProVerb, which was released in 2004. Stogie T on the other hand is still dropping freestyles and music for his fans to consume. In 2019 the rapper was inducted into The South African Hip Hop Museum and received the SA Hip Hop Hall Of Fame Award.
One tweep, wrote broke down his decision and said, “This is a tough one. I am fan of both. I think each time the two of them got to be on the same track Pro always outshined. (Freestyle on YouTube, Back and Forth from Fourthwrite, heavy 8) but gosh Stogie is amazing as well. His freestyle on Sway Fire. I am really not sure”
Another tweep said that Stogie is better all-round whilst Pro is awesome at wordplay. “Wrong… Stogie is better all-round, Pro is just awesome at word play but as far as bars, punch lines and song construction Tumi is just better than anyone in SA”
Another fan argued that Stogie is dope but he is overrated, another one reminded tweeps that both rappers have different styles. “Too different styles. Poet and Punchlines. Battle Pro coz of metro he won that back in the day, poet and story telling Tumi coz of the project with saul William. Both brilliant lyricist.”
