Cassper Claims His Root Of Fame 990 Sneaker Can Save SA Hip Hop. Things are allegedly bad in SA Hip Hop but the memo was not received that things are so bad that needed to be saved by Cassper’s Root Of Fame 990 sneakers. A lot is being said on the streets about who can save SA Hip Hop. These claims come in the midst of the ongoing debate that SA Hip Hop is no longer relevant in the country. Several names, such as K.O, Kid X and Cassper, have been raised by fans and insiders as contenders to save SA Hip Hop.

Award-winning SA Hip Hop artist Cassper Nyovest has added his opinion to the conversation of who can save Hip Hop. Cassper shared on Twitter that since his Root of Fame was able to save radio personality Anele Mdoda’s ankle in a recent accident she had, he is convinced that it can save SA Hip Hop. After all, it is saving lives. “Since the 990s saved Anele’s ankle, im convinced they can save SA Hip Hop. The Root Of Fame 990s, saving lives!!! #RF990” tweeted Cassper. Now, Cassper sure threw quite the jab at SA Hip Hop, the same genre that some fans are claiming needs him, however, some people were able to see the funny end of Mufasa’s tweet.

Cassper may be joking about his sneaker being able to save SA Hip Hop, after all, there is only so much a sneaker can do when it comes to an entire genre. A tweep however noted Cassper interesting marketing strategy. The tweep predicted that sales for the RF990 might increase as a result of Anele’s ankle and how Cassper is marketing the situation. “See this is the beauty of marketing, you’re never really selling the product, you’re always selling or story or more often than not, a feeling. The #RF990 is probably gonna see a swell, in sales in the next maybe two weeks, why, coz of Anele’s ankle,” wrote the Twitter user.

While the tweep may be impressed with Cassper’s marketing strategy, one might still wonder if it is really the one to revive SA Hip Hop. Maybe the sneaker would be Cassper’s way of saving the game since some people allege that SA Hip Hop does not need him. Cassper was unimpressed with Costa Titch’s comments directed at him about SA Hip Hop and now that Mufasa is back in South Ah, one wonders what will brew between them.
