Following the sad loss of Boss Zonke hitmaker, Big Zulu took to social media and expressed his grief over the death of his musical peer.

Riky took his life on Wednesday after losing his battle with depression. In a recorded Instagram live video shared on Twitter, Nkabi stated that he still doesn’t understand why Riky chose to end his own life. Big Zulu revealed that Boss Zonke was the one who used to console everyone in the music industry who was going through a difficult time.

Riky Rick was a father figure to everyone in the industry, not just his own children, according to Inkabi. He praised the late singer for allowing many people in the music industry to succeed. Big Zulu credited Riky with encouraging him to incorporate the maskandi sound into hip-hop, which led to his meteoric rise in 2020.
