“Kiernan has to give us a sign” – Raphael Benza On AKA’s Unreleased Music
“Kiernan has to give us a sign” – Raphael Benza On AKA’s Unreleased Music. AKA may have left his fans with a gift that was closer to his heart—the Mass Country album—but the late rapper also had additional music that had not yet been made public.
Speaking during an interview with Slikour, Raphael Benza who worked with AKA in the most crucial parts of his career said that the Supa Mega had more music that is yet to be released. Benza said that it will only take Kiernan’s sign for him and the team to release the music, but for now, the focus is on Mass Country.
“You know he was an ultimate creative, so every time there was an inspiration he wrote something down in his studio at home. He was a producer and he recorded some songs. So yes, he has a lot of music that’s there. Someone did ask me about that question and I said you know what, in order for us to share more music Kiernan has to give us a sign.”
“We don’t know what that sign would be, but he will tell us that he wants more music. He and the fans when they are ready we will,” said Benza. “Right now we are focusing on Mass Country and there’s a lot of good stuff and I don’t want to leave Mass Country until I know I’ve reached the target that he set for us before he went away and it’s getting there,” he added.
Addressing whether Kiernan had an album he was supposed to release before Mass Country Benza said; “that was music he made when he was really emotionally challenged and depressed, he made that music to sort of correct some of the perception that people had of him. But we know that Mass Country, I guess for Africa was more important to get out first.”
