Burna Boy FNB Concert Postponed, Here’s Why
Burna Boy FNB Concert Postponed, Here’s Why. In a regrettable twist for fans who had been eagerly anticipating Burna Boy’s concert at FNB Stadium, organizers have officially revealed today that the event has been postponed.
The Afro-fusion sensation was set to take the stage this Saturday 23 September 2023 as part of the country’s Heritage Day celebration. The event promises an unforgettable night of music, entertainment and celebrating the African culture, but the concert has hit a snag.
According to the SundayWorld, Burna Boy sacked his sound team ahead of the FNB concert. The source explained to the publication that they had no choice but to call off this weekend’s event due to last-minute sound issues.
“They had a problem with the company that offers them sound which is the biggest sound company in Africa. Burna Boy fired them on Monday night and they had to replace them with another company from North West which does not have the required capacity to do the show,” said the source.
Even though the Burna Boy FNB concert encountered sound problems, it also grappled with substantial difficulties in ticket sales, failing to draw a large audience to fill the enormous stadium. The self-proclaimed African Giant will now set to grace South Africans with a live performance on the 16th of December 2023.
Nevertheless, social media timelines have been buzzing with widespread jubilation, as many South Africans are celebrating the postponement of the Nigerian superstar’s concert. Some have praised the famed rapper Cassper Nyovest for being the only artist who is capable of filling up the stadia. Whilst AKA’s fans poked at Burna Boy because of the beef he had with the late rapper.
