Taking to Twitter (X), the @ChartsAfrica platform recently unveiled a Global Artists Ranking as of September 20, 2023. Notably, from the ranking, it is evident that Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C are the only African rap artists to secure their spots on the prestigious list.
These two celebrated rappers have achieved remarkable success in building their fanbases through their music careers, with Nasty C securing the 71st position, while Cassper held the 233rd spot on the chart. In response to the global music ranking, Boss TLee conveyed immense excitement at witnessing these two South African rappers emerge as the exclusive torchbearers of African hip-hop on the international stage.
“Only 2 rappers from Africa on global ranks. ONLY 2!!! Entire continent of over 40 countries & over a billion people. Only 2 rappers… do understand this context mara? Nah It’s really not the same,” wrote Boss TLee.
