Cassper Reacts To Kabza De Small Cancelling His Show Over Safety Concerns

The South African music industry has tragically seen instances of artists being murdered in public, with notable cases including AKA and DJ Sumbody. Recently, the Amapiano DJ Mashata was shot and killed in Soshanguve, Pretoria adding another layer of fear amongst SA celebrities and the public at large.

Following the murder of DJ Mashata, Amapiano sensation Kabza De Small swiftly decided to cancel his scheduled event in Pretoria on Freedom Day. The “Asibe Happy” hitmaker called off the event due to concerns for his safety.

Cassper Nyovest is among the artists who have expressed sorrow over the prevalence of gun violence and crime plaguing South Africa. Upon hearing about Kabza cancelling his show due to safety concerns, Cassper openly questioned whether anyone truly feels secure in South Africa.

The rapper expressed frustration, noting that despite the prevalent criminal activities in SA, little to no action is being taken to address the issue of crime in the country. “This is what South Africa has come to. Brother, it’s Bad, we are not safe and not enough is being done !!! Does anyone feel safe in this country?” A concerned Cassper wrote.

The rapper emphasized that South Africa needs prayers and divine intervention, asserting that relying solely on each other is insufficient. “With the advancement of humanity, we should be closer to one another yet we hate each other more. People still want to kill each other though we understand one another more than we used to. Our country needs prayer. We need God. We cannot rely on the flesh or human beings,” Mufasa added.
