Zingah Defends K.Keed Amid Freestyle Drama On DJ Speedsta’s Radio Show. The ongoing conversation around K.Keed’s decision not to freestyle during DJ Speedsta’s show has sparked yet another voice from the culture—this time from rapper and broadcaster Zingah.

Offering his perspective, Zingah shared that while conversations around artistry are valid, he felt the way the moment unfolded painted K.Keed in an unfair light.
“I feel like Speedsta was a bit unfair because that’s not really what the show is about. Has he met anybody else today, and why her? I feel like how that came out, she’s now kind of being placed as a poster boy for this idea that the new kids don’t wanna freestyle. And that’s unfair to K.Keed because she’s actually super talented, especially as a writer. So I don’t enjoy seeing her in that position,” said Zingah.
The debate began earlier this week when K.Keed opted not to freestyle live on air, a decision that triggered mixed reactions across social media. Some saw it as a refusal to embrace a core element of hip-hop culture, while others argued that the industry has evolved beyond impromptu bars being the ultimate test of skill.
Zingah’s defence adds another layer to the discourse, shifting the focus from a single performance to the broader recognition of artistry. By spotlighting K.Keed’s strength as a writer, he underscores the idea that talent in hip-hop cannot be boxed into one tradition.
