“He Told Me I Needed To Pay R700k,” Emtee On Ambitiouz Entertainment Boss. Leaving Ambitiouz Entertainment has never been without a hassle for most of its artists. Emtee‘s departure also didn’t seem to be smooth sailing.
On a recent interview with DRUM, the Ghetto Hero rapper revealed that the boss of now former label Kgosi Mahumapelo ordered him to pay an amount of R700 000 which he supposedly owes to the stable when crahsed his car.
“Instead of the CEO [of Ambitiouz Entertainment] checking if I’m okay, he told me I needed to pay like R700 000, that’s crazy.”
When he spoke of the reason he left he said he wasn’t getting paid and managed too well.
“In the last month I wasn’t getting a cent, even if you perform 100 shows a month you still get the same amount of money at the end of every month.” said Emtee.
A-reece also revealed the same story on his interview with Pearl Thusi on Behind The Story. He said that he left because he wasn’t getting paid the amount he deserved for the work he put in.
Emtee even further stated that around the time he was involved in a car accident, the CEO of the company ordered him to pay up.
Without a car, house and a label Emtee is becoming independent and has announced opening up his own label Emtee Records. In all this, he mentioned that “It’s been a big life lesson.”
