A #TBT Clip Of Stogie T Performing In A Band Back In The Day Resurfaces. Stogie T is one of the rappers who ae considered OG’s in the game, this is because he has served longer as an artist.

The 38 year old began his career as a musician decades ago. From graffiti to poetry, cyphers and hit records he has done the most. In his early days he used to perform in bands. One performance that is still vivid to his memory is the one he did in collaboration with Pebbles, Kyla Rose and more. The performance was for the brutal killings of young people in the 1976 Protest in Soweto.

“‘76 was based on real events when pupils lead by seniors at Morris Isaacson school in Jabavu started a protest against being taught in Afrikaans, largely perceived as the language of the oppressor. This event marked a pivotal moment in strengthening the fight against apartheid,” he wrote.

“We owe our freedom to these brave young people of 1976 who turned their backs on what they saw as their parents and educators normalised acquiescence to oppression. We mark June 16 as Youth Day in remembrance of these fearless souls. “Dare to struggle, dare to win” Fred Hampton,” he added.
