Jub Jub Explains Why SA Hip Hop Has Turned Fake & Lacks Discipline. We have seen Jub Jub stirring up steamy drama on live television what we didn’t know until recently is how he feels about being the centre of the spotlight again.
After being convicted of culpable homicide rapper Jub Jub spent 5 years in prison from a 20 year-old sentence. In his time of of release by parole Jub Jub picked himself up and bounced back to the Entertainment industry.
Coming back after the public have criticized him for his past actions wasn’t easy for Undikhokhele rapper. He came back buzzing with a new show Uyajola 9/9 which exposes cheaters and later on Skhipha AmaFiles which casted Babes Wodumo & Mampintsha on their relationship.
Speaking to Somizi during an interview on Metro FM, Jub Jub stated that “Coming into contact with people, being seen and being exposed the way I am now – that was the hardest.”
In addition he shared how music right now in South Africa is fake. Comparing the time when he rocked into the industry and now he said; “the music industry, the artists the music that we have now – it’s all fake.”
“I will specifically for Hip hop, there’s no discipline, there’s no hunger they just putting on lip gloss, they’re lips are not dry, there’s no hunger. There’s no doing it for “good music”, people charging R5000 to R10 000 for a gig that Specially says to me this is not a business. It’s a hobbie. Music is what we had in the past with TKZees and BoomShaka and the Jub Jubs.”
