Taking to Instagram, former South African football legend and Manchester United strikers’ coach Benni McCarthy shared pictures of the Manchester United FA Cup program last week. In the program, Manchester United expressed their sadness after tragically losing one of their biggest supporters.

“We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Kiernan Forbes, otherwise known as AKA a rapper and United supporter from South Africa. He was a huge red greatly admired by so many. Our thoughts are with his family and many loved ones,” the tribute read.

No one ever doubted AKA’s love for Manchester United as the rapper even went as far as to ink the Red Devils tattoo on his arm. The rapper at some point wagered R10K for Manchester United which he ended up losing after the team fumbled.

Following the appointment of Benni as Manchester United coach, AKA expressed how proud he was of his friend Benni for raising the South African flag high.

“Speechless. 😭 @bennimac17 @manchesterunited … the word “proud” doesn’t do this moment justice. My uncle played for Cape Town Spurs, my father is from the Plein … my hero, my GOAT 🐐… this is just unbelievable. 🇿🇦 From Hanover Park to Old Trafford …. Unreal.” Wrote AKA.
