Emtee Dismisses Speculations That He Was With Close Friend And Manager Lebogang Maswanganyi When He Passed. It is no telling that Emtee has a tight knit team that makes sure he is always on top of his game. The rapper is unfortunately mourning one of his closest friends who led the team ensuring that Emtee was always at his best.

Emtee Speaks On His Mental State While Making His 'Logan' Album

The multi platinum rapper recently took to twitter to release a press statement about the tragic passing of his close friend and manager Lebogang Maswanganyi who passed away on the 27th of April 2021. The statement mentions that the circumstances around Lebo’s passing will be addressed in a formal statement and dismissed that Emtee was with Lebo or that Lebo passed at Emtee’s studio.

In the meantime, we note that the unfortunate utterances and speculations that are already circulating on social media around the circumstances of the death. For the record, at the time of death, Lebo was neither with Emtee nor was he at Emtee’s place or studio.

We view these and similar utterances as inhuman and insensitive to both Lebo’s family and friends in particular Emtee who, at the moment, is trying to come to terms with the loss of a childhood friend.” the statement read.

The statement thanks everyone who has supported Emtee and urges everyone to continue carrying him and Lebo’s friends and family in their prayers.

Emtee has been doing exceptionally well since the start of 2021. The rapper released his first independent album Logan under his record label Emtee Records. The album shot up to the number one spot on the Apple Music Hip Hop charts. He locked in the support of SA Hip Hop and recently celebrated one million streams for the album on streaming platform Audiomack. Emtee also has plans to drop two music videos later in 2021.
