Normally it’s Awards organizations who snub artists but in Cassper’s case, he’s doing the snubbing for the second year in a row for the South African Music Awards. SAMAs dismisses possible beef with Cassper after rapper snubbed the Awards again.
Cassper’s reason stays the same from the beginning when he tweeted, “I don’t want to win a SAMA anymore. I’m good without them‚” back in 2016.
SAMAs publicist confirmed to TshisaLIVE that Cassper did not submit his music for consideration. He also dismissed any possible beef between the organization and the rapper.
“What is misunderstood as ‘beef’ is not with the SAMAs. Rather, the incident that has happened in the past was over some of the rules that the rapper did not agree with. The SAMAs exist to celebrate music,” the publicist said.
Despite not submitting again this year, the ‘Tito Mboweni’ rapper is still nominated for three Awards, now that’s legendary. Cassper is nominated for his collaboration with Kwesta, another collaboration with Major League and a Coke Studio production.
