For the past few days, Emtee has had to defend himself against critics over his latest tattoo on his face. Whilst he told people off, he had not fully explained the reason why he got the tattoo. Emtee reveals why he got the face tattoo.

Emtee first gave a shoutout to his fans for holding him down when he faced backlash. “S/O all my supporters for holdin me down with this tat sich. I’m glad some of y’all like it,” he tweeted.

For Emtee, it was all about the culture. “I did it coz I’d do anything for hip hop. She changed my life and involve God in all I do. Thank you bangani bami,” he explained. Hopefully this is the last time we’ll have to hear about Emtee’s face tattoo, well at least until he gets another one.
