Speaking during an interview on the Spreading Humours Podcast, Uncle Vinny taped the conversation about the current state of Hip Hop. The famed rapper and amapiano sensation said that the genre is on a decline because people are tired of listening to the same things.

“This is the most hurtful truth, I know people are gonna kill me for me. Hip Hop on its own in the world is having a decline,” Uncle Vinny said. Uncle Vinny added that even though Drake is the most streamed, Hip Hop as a genre is on a decline.

“But I mean, Drake is the most streamed, but I’m saying Hip Hop on its own is having a decline. That’s why genres like Amapiano, and Afro Beats are coming in you get me? That’s why because people wanna hear something new. People are tired of hearing about f**k*n*g a b*t*ch, like shooting guns, smoking the blunt, you get what I mean?
