Riky Rick Also Get Recognition From Ludacris. Rapper and fashionista Riky Rick teamed up with Kabza De Small and Mas Musiq to create AmaPiano hit titled Mthande. The single received attention from American singer Ludacris.
The way SA music has been gaining popularity from the global space has motivated and inspired many artists. In a space of few weeks, Nasty C had his song played by Ludacris, Master KG played by Janet Jackson and Christiano Ronaldo who have millions of followers from across the world. In addition, Ludacris was seen chilling on a jacuzzi with what seemed like his woman while bumping Mthande.
Reacting to the recognition Riky simply stated how he was thinking they should drop a music video for the single. “MTHANDE???? we need to drop the video for this one bro??” Riky told DJ Maphorisa.
The single dropped right around the time Riky announced that he will be taking a break from music.
“Friends and family‚ I apologize sincerely to everybody who will be effected but I am not in the right place mentally to continue doing shows or anything that involves leaving my children. I am taking time to find my faith before I lose the connection with the people I love the most‚” he wrote.
He has been involved as a feature on a few singles including Costa Titch’s Nkalakatha, Mlindo The Vocalist’s You & I and on uTatakho remix by Yanga Chief.
