Reason Interview With DJ Capital About “Reazus Christ”, His Upcoming Album & More
DJ Capital’s special in-studio guest is Reason. He breaks down the ever so controversial artwork depicting him as Jesus, holding two women on each arm. Reason also fills us in on his new music plans and much more.
“If I had a different mindset I would have blown up quicker because I had several options from major labels but chose to stay independent until I met Tumi and I realized I needed the resources” said Reason.
“So basically I have this freestyle that I wrote, the artwork was speaking to the piece that said I’m the tainted version of what Jesus is, I hide behind my shades cause I’m way too promiscuous, I’m too obsessed with ass I wonder who expect that, all that I ask is now that I’ve told you what do you take me as?”
“The whole song is about a confession about being real with myself and my fans about a conflict which I’m going through which is growing up I was told in order to go to haven you have to be like Jesus but you will notice that the world we live in of the drugs, the money, the beefs, the club life and all that stuff just makes Christians suffer.”
“I think we are honest about the wrong things these days, it’s like we honest about the things that people don’t go through. If you follow the Reason story you will know that this guy is probably family inclined, he is all about the idea of being a good person in a well established place and that’s why I addressed the real stuff on The Realest Verse Ever” said Reason.
