The history of Hip Hop has been founded on revolution, pushing an agenda against the system of oppression. Which is why it is HipHop has always been synonymous with African Culture. However in 2015 tradition has been carried on. With the Channel O Awards missing in action last year, Gigi was the one chosen to speak about the revolution and how SA Hip Hop has come up to make a huge impact on the continent. Gigi LaMayne just like Chuck D contributed a voice to the struggle and Rap Legend Khuli Chana helped provide a platform for the New Age Revolution to be televised.

The First female in the history of SA Hip Hop to debut a visual promo/ad on the biggest music channel in the country (@channelotv) Hip Hop is truly alive and slowly the voice of the passive female turns into an active and equally valued one.
