The rapper’s influence has not only been in the United States but his impact on hip-hop culture has spread worldwide. Taking to Twitter, SA Hip hop legend Rashid Kay engaged in a debate on the top five Jay-Z albums of all time. “What’s yall Jay-Z Top 5 Albums?” Read the tweet.

The veteran rapper shared his top 5 Jay-Z albums starting with Blueprint I with American Gangster on number 5. “1. Blueprint I 2. Reasonable Doubt 3. 4.44 4. The Black Album 5. American Gangster,” tweeted Rashid Kay.

Jay-Z was named the hip-hop artist of all time by Billboard and VIBE. This ranking caused a stir in the world amongst hip-hop followers. Last month, the journals began releasing their list of the Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time as part of a joint effort to commemorate Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary this year.

SA rapper A-Reece also took to social media and shared his thoughts regarding Jay-Z being named hip-hop artist of all time. A-Reece took to Instagram and questioned whether it’s still important if the music is good anymore following Jay-Z’s status quo. “Does it even matter if the music is good anymore?” Wrote A-Reece.
