Taking to social media, Big Xhosa addressed fan suggestions urging him to consider other artists like Sjava, K.O, or Nomfundo Moh for a feature on his unreleased track. But in true Xhosa fashion, the outspoken rapper made it clear: this song was made with Cassper Nyovest in mind, and no one else will do.

“I posted a song saying I’d love to have Cassper Nyovest on it, and you guys suggested Sjava, K.O, Nomfundo… which is good,” he acknowledged. “But the thing is this: I cannot, after publicly saying I want Cassper Nyovest, now go and get another artist.”

Big Xhosa went on to explain that reaching out to another artist at this point would send the wrong message. “That artist will feel like I’m making him a second option,” he said. “Which is something I cannot do.”

In a time when most rising artists are quick to adapt or compromise for exposure, Big Xhosa’s firm stance reflects both his respect for fellow artists and his commitment to artistic integrity. “I will drop this song with Cassper,” he declared. “If I can’t get Cassper, I will drop it alone.”

The rapper has been vocal in the past about his admiration for Cassper Nyovest, calling him a major influence and a pioneer in South African hip-hop. While fans have praised Big Xhosa’s growth and lyrical evolution, his latest plea to collaborate with Cassper is more than just a feature request—it’s a statement of intention, a call for alignment between ambition and authenticity.
