Watch! Kwesta Takes Things Up A Notch With A New Freestyle Rap. Another one for SA Hip Hop from Kwesta.

For a while now we haven’t heard or seen Kwesta reminding us of his skills as a talented rapper. When Stogie T initiated  Freestyle Fridays, he challenged Kwesta as one of the people to participate. Luckily the Ngud’ hitmaker came through and brought in nothing but fire.

The last time we had a portion of his skills, the father of one shared snippets of his upcoming projects. It worried a lot of people when he took a step back in music towards the end of last year. What we didn’t know which is now evident is that he has been sweating and spitting in studio.

The teaser he shared showed over 30 songs he has in store and ready to drop. Next album is a third from a Dakar sequel. He assured fans that he won’t drop all the songs at once but will break the 32 into two albums.

While fans await these massive releases, Kwesta decided to deliver a Freestyle as participation to the Freestyle Friday. Dubbing it lit would be an understatement, after all he even impressed Sway Colloway with his lyrical delivery.

Sway said he likes Kwesta’s infusion of South African sounds and languages in his music. “That’s why I think Kwesta is important,” he continued. “I can hear an American style in America really well. Therefore, when I come to South Africa, I wanna feel like I’m learning something from the sound and the dialect. When you incorporate that into hip-hop… so Kwesta, to me, opened to doors to many sounds. And then Stogie T opened doors to sounds. ‘Cause whenever an artist comes to the show, I do some research and I listen to some of their older projects.”
