Could Cassper Be Responding To K.O’s Tweets?
Could Cassper Be Responding To K.O’s Tweets about SA music sounding uniquely South African. Mr Cashtime is undoubtedly one of the leaders of SA Hip Hop at this point and he sent out some tweets about the music which are valid but the timing might be controversial.
Nasty C recently released his debut album titled Bad Hair which has been well received by the fans but we have heard some talking about how the music has no trace of where it’s coming from. Mr Cashtime also echoed these sentiments but denied the tweets coming from anywhere else that’s not introspection.
The timing is very interesting because it’s been 3 days since Nasty C released Bad Hair so these tweets could have easily been triggered by the album. “Hip Hop’s last blockbuster record was Ngudu. Everything after that hasn’t really connected due to our less South African presentation of our craft” said K.O.
Mr Cashtime was a fan of Nasty C last year but has not said a word about the album since it’s release. “Let’s not get distracted by the clutter!!! A magnificent album was released this week by a very talented young man” said Caspper Nyovest hours after K.O’s tweets.
