Here’s Why Da L.E.S Is Calling On The ‘Glitz Gang’ To Hit The Studio

Here’s Why Da L.E.S Is Calling On The ‘Glitz Gang’ To Hit The Studio. South African rappers L-Tido and Da L.E.S both tuned in to watch the Verzuz battle between New York rap crew crews Lox and Dipset and both were left inspired. The North God even felt the need to tell members of the Glitz Gang to get back to writing music.

Both crews both the heat and most importantly fans who tuned in were left feeling inspired after hearing the Yonkers rap OG’s battle it out. L-Tido who hasn’t released a project in a minute took to Twitter to share that hearing Jadakiss reminded him why he fell in love with hip hop. The rapper shared a clip of Jadakiss spitting a verse during the Verzuz battle that seems to have left him feeling inspired.

“I love dipset on everything but Jadakiss reminded me why i fell in love with hip hop in the first place. I am so inspired rite now #VERZUZ,” tweeted L-Tido. L-Tido last dropped an album in 2016, the project was called 16 and has yet to drop new material.

A fan, who also tuned into the #DipsetVsLox battle responded to L-Tido tweet and said “What happened on this #DipsetVsLox battle gets me thinking of what @L_Tido @Maggz100 @2freshLES and Morale could do for SA hip-hop.” The tweep was not the only one who had that thought as Da L.E.S shared on his Instagram stories “After that Versuz I hope GLITZ GANG writing to get back in the booth”. In his post, Da L.E.S tagged Sean Pages, L-Tido, Maggz and Morale. As to whether the entire Glitz Gang will respond to Da L.E.S’s request only time will tell but L-Tido is inspired, so anything can happen.

Glitz Gang was an instrumental part of SA hip hop and whilst they never released an album, they did drop a few singles together. On the track Glitz Gang Forever, from his album 16 L-Tido does explain what happened between him, Morale, Sean Pages and Maggz.

“Finally crossed over; streets to the fame/ They waited for the album, release never came/ But instead we dropped solos, went against the grain/ More success we got, we drifted apart/ [?] we lost the plot/ that linked us from the start/ Egos got inflated, jealousy invaded/ I guess that’s a diplomatic way that I can say it/ Pages left the crew, Morale left the crew/ We disintegrated; foes out the blue.,” he raps.
