“They think they are too good” – Tweeps Weigh In On SA Rappers’ Social Media Interaction. For some reason, we find it quite enjoyable to witness celebrities interact with one another on social media, but it also seems like the fans also want a piece of the action by being part of the conversation.

“They think they are too good” – Tweeps Weigh In On SA Rappers’ Social Media Interaction

SA rappers have been under scrutiny on how they tend to interact with their fans on social media. Taking to Twitter, one of the tweeps posed a question on the timeline on whether SA rappers engage with their fans enough or they only do that when something negative is said about them. “Do you think South African Rappers engage with their fans enough? Or they only do such when it’s only negative ish..” Read the tweet.

The question has prompted different opinions from other tweeps, with some defending some artists who genuinely interact with their fans on a consistent basis. AKA is one of the rappers who was mentioned for being always available to talk to his fans and followers. “@akaworldwide responds to his fans both when its negative or positive and hes been at the top of the game for 10+years now .Everybocy else will pick out the negative comments to make themselves look like a victim,” read the tweet.

PdotO, Flvme, K.O. and Cassper have been mentioned as some of the rappers who are always available to talk to their fans regardless of the context of the conversation. “Who is they? I see flvme interact all the time, cassper on here constantly about everything, Cap always dapping up mfs. Lez and Pdoto constantly communicating music or not. Novl. Posts constant talking to him damn self. Kulture/riyo post on IG all the time. BrandsShaw everywhere,” read the tweet.

Even though some of the rappers have been defended, some of the hip hop fans expressed their rage towards SA rappers. They believe that most SA rappers think that they are too good to be interacting with them. “no they do not, I’ve ceased from covering some gents even, they often think they are too good to even engage w us,” says one of the tweeps.
