It’s incumbent upon the individual to adeptly manoeuvre through each obstacle that arises, utilizing both the benefits and overcoming the mishaps along the journey. Taking to Instagram, Maraza admitted that being an Indie is hard for him because he is particular about everything being done right.

The rapper’s recent remarks stemmed from his previous video where he said that he has been facing hardships with his hybrid music recording equipment as he was on the verge of losing some of his data. Kubi! Ku bird! Coming out with a song is easy. A hit song is a little harder. But the technical aspects behind just MAKING the songs are some of the hardest and most expensive. Hhayibo, Nakhu Ngifa!”

In his latest Instagram update, Maraza addressed his fans’ worries regarding his well-being, following concerns raised after he mentioned his lack of sufficient sleep in a previous video.

“Update from last video; Yes. The independent artist grind is hard, but it’s hardest for me because I’m very particular about EVERYTHING being done right. Part of that is protecting my work. That’s why I have been keeping 3 copies of EVERYTHING since 2013. 1 copy in an onboard back-up drive (Can get infected if a virus is let loose, but I have a great antivirus) 1 copy on my own personal cloud server (NAS, essentially) which I built and maintain. It’s behind a firewall, so it would take a serious threat to infect. 1 copy on an identical server that’s only attached to the network ONCE A WEEK to pick up new back-ups.” He wrote.

“All of this accounts for waaaay more than 5TB of Data that I need in my system to do daily work. So if that was to crash or get infected beyond repair, I would barely lose anything, but it would take me more than a week of bringing back the copies and rebuilding my system to exactly what it was. That’s more than a week of not doing any actual work, and I can’t afford that. But we’re good. Thank you fellow nerds for caring.”
