There is no denying that this year, the South African hip-hop scene has flourished the most. Regrettably, we haven’t had much engagement with Yanga Chief. He was quite popular on the charts some time back but it appears that he has been active this year.

In an interview on SlikourOnLife, the rapper explained why he waited for over a year to drop one of his exciting singles featuring sensational SA Hip Hop fellows. The Mdogish chanter stated that he had the song for over a year but he didn’t know what to do with it until he came across Henny’s music.

“I had the song and the hook for over a year and a half, I didn’t know what to do with it until I came across some of Henny’s music. He sounded like he could give it some life and I wasn’t wrong,” he said.

The rapper further went on and mentioned how he managed to combine Lunatik’s beat and Emtee‘s vocals leading up to coming out with a wonderful song. “Lunatik made the beat so it felt like Emtee would understand the nuances, I added his verse and it all came out together perfectly,” he added.

The last time made an impact in the game was when he released the song ‘To Each His Own.’ The rapper also appeared on DJ Sandiso’s song “uMgqibelo” with Que DJ, Dee Traits, and Omagoqa. He did an excellent job in the song.
