Msaki, on the other hand, has received praise for her efforts in the music industry, not just in the Amapiano genre. The Mntakababa chanter stated in the interview that she has worked with a lot of big-name artists in South Africa. “I’ve written a lot for artists like Kelly Khumalo, Lady Zamar, I have done some good running for the hip hop boys,” she said.

During the interview, MacG tried to get her to give the names of SA rappers for whom she had ghostwritten, but she resisted. “I’ll die before I tell you this, in some way I get to be on the outside like I’m doing some work for Stogie T now,” she said.

Msaki went on and clarified that she is not writing for Stogie T but she is working with the rapper on his new project. “I got to actually work with him in LA on his new project and I’m not writing for him at all, I’m writing choruses and stuff like that. But I love that, that’s also like I wish I could do more, I feel like the hip hop boys are sleeping,” she added.

Responding to which SA rapper she likes, Msaki expressed genuine love for Blxckie‘s artistic prowess. “I like Blxckie, I have time for him, I have a lot of time for Blxckie as a creative and just as a person he is just a great,” she said.
