Buffalo Souljah Opens Up About Burna Boy Beef

During an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag via the Episode Podcast, Buffalo Souljah unpacked the trail of events that led to his beef with Burna Boy. Buffalo mentioned that his rage with Burna Boy started at Da L.E.S’ annual all-white party.

“When we went to Da L.E.S’s all-white party that’s when this whole thing started. But before that at the Channel O Awards, when the Channel O Awards happened I won the Channel O Awards. He said.

“This was the hardest for me, for all other awards that went down, and I’m not wrong because look at these dudes Burna and Patoranking is now, so that means I foresaw the pressure that these dudes are gonna be the biggest artists in Africa and outside. So I was like okay cool I finally won this award in this so much pressure.”

Buffalo Soujah recalled an incident that he believed sparked his feud with Burna as he declared himself the King of African Dancehall. “I was like yo, first of all, this is for Mufakose, this is for Zim, but I just wanna say something, I want to make it official 10 years in a row, I’m officially the King of African Dancehall and for me, that’s how I feel like yeah it was tense. When I get off, n*ggas were not talking to me,” he said.

The Ziyawa hitmaker also unpacked another heat of the moment with Burna Boy at Da L.E.S All White Party stating that the Nigerian star embarked on a mission to give him hands. This led to a never-ending street fight within the artists’ camps.

“We were at the VIP and that’s when the homie just came through and he grabbed me from the back, pulled me trying to throw punches.” He said. “Then I was like let me bounce, and i called the goons and i called my n*ggas from the hood. I called my people and like five Kombis that came through, we pulled up we shut down the party it was crazy dawg.”
