In honor of Riky Rick, the CottonFest organizers have announced a jammed pack music lineup for the music concert that will take place this April. The CottonFest is a music festival that was founded by Riky Rick to promote SA hip hop as well as promoting upcoming acts to the game.
CottonFest’s inclusion of amapiano musicians has sparked widespread criticism on social media. The choice to have a wide selection of Yano artists while the CottonFest event carries the SA hip hop identity was blasted by most tweeps.
In response to the uproar, NOTA condemned the hatred for amapiano sounds that most “American Wannabes,” as he dubbed them, possess. “You American wannabe’s really hate amapiano… The Cotton Fest outrage is really disgusting!” Tweeted NOTA.
