Sarkodie Responds To Whether His Reply To Nasty C Was Intentional

When I first met Sarkodie, he wouldn’t shake my hand. Cool. I’m not too proud to say I’m still a fan. But I held a grudge and told myself to wait till I’m the man,” rapped the Juice Back hitmaker. Nasty C’s track did not prompt an instant reply from the Ghanaian rapper until recently when Sarkodie dropped “Landlord.”

In an interview, Sarkodie was questioned if the release of Landlord on New Year’s Eve was premeditated. “What a time to drop Landlord, was it intentional to drop it on the 31st?” In response, Sarkodie made it clear that it wasn’t deliberate, rather his people advised him to get it out of the way so that he can start the new year on a clean slate. “No, my people said I should get it out of the way and start on a clean sheet because I don’t wanna release that when we get into 2023,” he said.

Asked whether his reply to Nasty C was deliberate he said that since the song was out and doing the talking, people should just listen to the song. “I don’t want to have conversations about that it’s just the song is there you can listen to it, and I appreciate the song for the support,” he added.

Sarkodie made a quip in the two-minute song about his achievements in the music business over the previous ten years before responding to Nasty C’s remarks. He said that the rapper didn’t need to shake his hand and that he should’ve just asked for an autograph.

“I Heard the young champ is hurt, am sorry. But any time you meet the highest all you need is just a marker, grab an autograph and get the f*** out,” he rapped.

“I ain’t got to shake your hand so you can walk out and so you know it’s not me you fighting your own ego.”
