Drake And Weezy Talk New Music

Drake And Weezy Talk New Music. Just when all hope was lost, it has now been restored as Drake and lil Wayne are back in the studio doing the things.

Recently Drizzy joined Tunechi on his Young Money Radio to discuss his latest offering, ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ among many other things.

During their conversation the topic of the two not collaborating came up, which is a question that many fans have been asking.

As much as the former collaborators are open to the idea of getting back in to the studio again, it’s not as easy as people might think.

Weezy then went in to detail about the admin that goes into creating a genius collaboration and by the sounds of it, it can get quite hectic.

“Let me explain to the people though. Now, something about me and Drizzy songs that we do together, we are both perfectionists, so, it’s not like, you send me a joint, I’m going to throw a verse on there and…We got a standard we got to live up to and we got a track record and a legacy we got to always protect.”

The OVO rapper explained that there is no competition or winner when it comes to rap so seeing who has the best verse on the collaboration is as competitive as it gets.

The ‘Toosie Slide hit maker left the fans with a glimmer of hope as he gave his word to work on another joint with his Young Money associate ASAP and that might be sooner than we expected.

“Well look, on that note, you have my word as a man and Mack [Maine], you can hold me to this when we get off the phone, I’m going to be in the studio,”

The two have been working on new music since the COVID-19 regulation has banned mass gathering which would obviously include touring and apart from releasing a mixtape titled ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ Drake has also confirmed that he is set to release his new album.

It goes without saying that the fans are beyond excited for the music that’s about to come and we’ll keep you posted for when the duo blesses us with the lit collab that we’ve grown to love them for.
