Not only has he built a reputation for himself in South African rap by composing great songs, but he has also produced the majority of his most popular songs. Taking to Twitter, AKA believes that not only is he one of the greatest SA rappers, but he is also Mzansi’s greatest hip-hop producer.

The World Is Yours hitmaker asserted that statistically speaking, he produced 90% of his songs, the majority of which went on to achieve great success in the music industry. “Statistically speaking … since I’ve produced 90% of all my music … surely I am the greatest SA Hip Hop producer of all time. Statistically.” He tweeted.

In another tweet, the rapper claimed that as a producer he has put up more number 1 songs than any producer in SA hip hop history. “Surely as a producer, I have put up more number 1’s than any producer in the history of SA Hip Hop,” he added.

This month, AKA will deliver the album Mass Country which he has already released three lead singles for his listeners to have a feel of what to expect from him. The rapper has so far released, Lemons Lemonade, Prada and Paradise featuring some of the big names in SA hip hop.

AKA stated in an interview with Slikour that despite his longevity in the industry, he has never taken the music he releases and the positive reaction it receives for granted. “I never take it for granted when you put out music and people receive it well, especially when I’ve been doing this as long as I’ve been doing it now. I think now more than ever, having gone through the ups and downs, I’m more appreciative of the success and I’m a bit more ready for the success,” he said.
