An eyewitness told the publication that Boity and Bujy prior to the argument were hanging out together, talking and drinking. Things are said to have gotten heated and the two began screaming and swearing at each other. Boity is said to have been taken to hospital by ambulance and sustained serious injuries.

“They were drinking and talking about sangomas and ancestors before an argument started. I am not sure who started it but they were screaming at each other and swearing before they started fighting,” the eyewitness told City Press. Another eyewitness revealed to City Press, that Bujy got very physical with Boity, who was reportedly wearing a white shirt had blood stains. “Bujy really beat that girl up badly … Boity was wearing a white shirt and her shirt was red with blood stains. Her face was also bad,” said the eyewitness. Boity nor Bujy have made public comments regarding the alleged altercation.

Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo confirmed to the publication that indeed a case has been opened. This is not the first time Bujy is grabbing headlines for assault. In 2017 he was alleged to have assaulted two neighbours at his Orange Farm family home. Speaking to Drum Magazine at the time Bujy said he was defending himself and his brother. “When they got to us they started attacking us and that’s how the fight started. My brother and I had no weapons. They brought the weapons and me fighting was to defend myself and my brother. I did not stab anyone,” he told the publication.
