AKA Explains Launching An App That Costs R90 A Month

AKA Explains Launching An App That Costs R90 A Month! AKA is one of the biggest artists in South Africa who has made quite a number of bold business moves.

The rapper was ridiculed for one of his latest business ventures which was viewed by most as a bit expensive for fans by some. “People buy my albums, people come to my shows. That costs money. People support me, so…” said AKA speaking on the matter with Tshisa Live after the apps launch.

He then went on to explain the perfect timing for it saying “Now it is a digital world we live in. If you look at the success of a Kim Kardashian app or other personalities who have apps, musicians that have apps, it is something that I needed to do. If you look at AKA and Vodacom coming together, those are two iconic South African brands, African brands. The timing is perfect. When you have an app like this, the possibilities are endless, especially in music.”
