“No one else but Yanga Chief is gonna save 2020,” Nota On The SA Hip Hop Albums Dropped This Year. On the latest venting of his views regarding SA Hip Hop, Nota Baloyi expressed how he feels about the albums that have been dropped in 2020 so far by South African rappers.

In the list of albums Nota mentioned he counted Nasty C’s ZMWSP, Cassper’s AMN, Costa’s Made In Africa, J Molley’s All’s Fair In Love & War and AKA’s Bhovamania. After sharing sentiments regarding the projects he didn’t praise so much, he concluded that an only rapper left to save SA Hip Hop is award winning star Yanga Chief.

“You can’t find 5 hot tracks on any of that other bullsh*t and that is the sad state of the quality of SA Hip Hop…At least Costa & Molley have three solid tracks on each of their projects and Nasty C has Easy and Chad has that YoungstaCPT feature. No one else but Yanga Chief is gonna save 2020 with his debut album Pop Star,” wrote Nota.

Yanga is set to release Pop Star on the 27th of November 2020.
